GREAT BRITAIN: Victoria, 1837-1901, jubilee medal (225.3g), 1887, BHM-3219, Eimer-1733, 77mm brass medal for the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria by L.C. Wyon after J.E. Boehm and Frederick Leighton, crowned and veiled bust left with VICTORIA REGINA - ET IMPERATRIX around // Queen enthroned facing with seven figures representing the Arts and Industries of Great Britain, with two cherubs above holding shields reading MDCCCLXXXVII and MDCCCXXXVII, and figures of Mercury and Time below, with IN.COMMEMORATION at top and five shields in exergue inscribed with the names of the five continents, mishandled with many small rim nicks, lightly cleaned, plain edge, in (original?) box, Unc, ex Mike Edwards Collection. This piece may be rare, as we were unable to find any results of this piece in brass selling anywhere.
