ABBASID: AE fals (2.59g), Makka, ND, A-M300, lillah in the center, citing the heir apparent al-Muwaffaq in the margin // the mint Makka (Mecca in Saudi Arabia) in the center, with the governor Harun b. Muhammad in the margin; unpublished and unique, Fine, RRRR. Though the attribution seemed at first tentative, it makes sense because Harun b. Muhammad was the Abbasid governor of Makka (AH268-271) during the eastern heirship of al-Muwaffaq (AH260-273), who is also cited on dinars of San'a struck AH263-274 together with his son Ahmad (AH274-278).
