ABBASID: Sa'id & Bahira, ca. 815-819, AE fals (2.64g), Qaysariya, ND, A-C290, SNAT-200, undated, but similar to a known type citing the same two governors and dated AH204 (SNAT-201/202), though lacking a mint name, nice Fine, RRR, from an American collection. Qaysariya (Caesarea) briefly operated as a copper mint under the Umayyads (circa 705-715) and again for the Abbasids, copper fulus only, circa 820. Both groups are extremely rare, the Abbasid fulus slightly less so than the Umayyad. This is probably the first auction to offer an example of both series.
