ABBASID: al-Mu'tadid, 892-902, AR dirham (3.36g), Amid, AH286, A-242M, special type, with only one marginal legend on the obverse, to commemorate the Abbasid conquest of Amid (now Diyarbakir) from the hands of the Shaybani tribe and the Byzantines; some weakness, but enough of the conquest formula; one small flat area on both sides, VF-XF, RRR. The obverse legend after "al-dirham" reads "sanat fathuhu wa huwa sitt..." ("in the year of the conquest which was six ...").
