ABBASID: al-Musta'sim, 1242-1258, AV dinar (8.48g) (Madinat al-Salam), AH656, A-275, only the first letter of the crucial last digit of the date is clearly visible (the 65 of the date is fully legible), XF, RRR. Madinat al-Salam was invaded by the Mongol armies in AH656 (1268). The caliph al-Musta'sim was captured and executed, allegedly stamped to death by an elephant. Also most of the sources claim that the city was uttered destroyed, that is clearly just an exaggeration, as Mongol gold and silver coins were struck at Madinat al-Salam later in AH656!
