AEOLIA: AR tetradrachm (16.51g), ca. mid-2nd century BC, bust of Amazon Cyme right // horse standing right with cup below raised foreleg and wreath around all, lustrous, NGC graded Mint State Strike: 4/5, Surface: 4/5. Aeolia, or Aeolis, comprised the western and northwestern regions of Asia Minor, mostly along the coast, but also the offshore islands which included the Aeolian Greek city-states. It later became part of the Roman Republic in the late second century BC.
