AFRICA & AMERICAS: LOT of 24 items, including Congo: commemorative Katanga cross (10cm, 266.0g), issued in 1956 by Union Minière du Haut-Katanga for its 50th anniversary (similar example illustrated on cover of Emilia da Paz's Union Minière du Haut-Katanga); Ethiopia: 2 Axum AR units of Ezanas (both MH-42, both F-VF and chipped), 2 Haile Selassie AR 50 santeem EE1936 plus 4 local imitation 50 santeems (2 each in copper and brass, all unpublished in Gill, local emergency issues according to the consignor), plus an AE token (Ge'ez letter M // crown); Mozambique: 6 brass tokens of WPCL (Wilhelm Philippi Companhia Limitada, a Hamburg-based German shipping company, ca. 1910's-20's, reportedly used to pay porters on Ibo for carrying bags of coconuts); French Guiana: an AE "crowned C" stampee and a 1789 2 sous; Venezuela: Caracas AE 1/4 real 1818 and Guayana AE 1/2 real 1816; and Argentina: 2 coins from 2013 and their respective blank planchets; various grades, most average for their type; retail value $550, lot of 24 pieces.
