AGHLABID: 'Abd Allah I, 811-816, AR dirham (2.32g), Ifriqiya, AH201, A-B438, with annulet in obverse center, some porosity on obverse, clear mint & date, VF, RRR. The Aghlabid dynasty was centered in Ifriqiya (roughly present-day Tunisia) from 800 to 909 AD that conquered parts of Sicily, Southern Italy, and possibly Sardinia, nominally as vassals of the Abbasid Caliphate. They ruled until 909 when they were conquered by the new power of the Fatimid Caliphate.
