TOKHARISTAN: LOT of 13 countermarked coins, Chaghaniyan (3 pcs): silver drachms, based on Khusro I prototype, 6th century (including one VF-EF condition); Kobadien (4 pcs): billon drachms, based on Peroz, issued circa 650-720; Vakhsh Valley (2 pcs): billon drachms, crude imitations based on Peroz, probably late 6th century; Tokharistan (3 pcs): silver drachms, imitating the 3rd series of Peroz, 6th century; and Yabghus of Tokharistan (1 pc): silver drachm, imitating the standard drachm of Hormizd IV struck at BHL (Balkh) year 11, early 7th century issue; average circulated grades; retail value $900, lot of 13 pieces.
