ANCIENT: LOT of 54 coins from the Roman Empire, various provinces, and the Byzantine Empire, including Roman: Nero Alexandria (RY.12, RPC-5289), Vespasian Antioch civic issue (RPC-4292), Domitian Antioch (RPC-2023) & Canata (RPC-2092), Marcus Aurelius Amphipolis (SNG ANS-188/189), Philip I antoninianus, Maximinus II Daia (RIC-43), various types of the Constantinian Dynasty and later (such as Urbs Roma with she-wolf and twins); Byzantine: 6 larger coppers (including Justinian I Constantinople follis, Justin II & Sophia Antioch follis BMC-205ff); plus 8 small Judaean coppers (including Pontius Pilate, Agrippa I, Herod I) & 5 Nabataean coppers (Aretas IV & Shaqilat, Rabbel II); average circulated conditions, the majority worn but with quite a few nicer examples, most identified in accompanying holders; retail value $650, lot of 54 pieces.
