TI, EF. Lyon and Stewart have suggested that the enigmatic legend CVNNETTI may be a Latinized rendering of Hunedeus, a historically attested Viking leader, who held power at York with the otherwise unknown Cnut. Likely a part of the Cuerdale Hoard, one of the largest Viking silver hoards ever discovered, found on the banks of the River Ribble near Preston, Lancashire on May 15th, 1840.
