ANTARCTICA: Enderbyland, 1 sovereign, 1990, KM-XPn7, fantasy issue struck in silver, arrowed symbol // enflamed Runic symbol, weakly struck, mintage of only 5 pieces, extremely rare, PCGS graded Specimen 69. Enderbyland is a region of Antarctica between Queen Maud Land and Wilkes Land, claimed by Australia as part of the Australian Antarctic Territory. Enderbyland is named for the whaling company, Samuel Enderby & Sons, which financed the 1831 expedition that discovered it. This type was struck by Fred Zinkann at the Mint Masters private mint, Franklin Park, Illinois, USA.
