ARAB-BYZANTINE: AE fals, various types, Group Lot: An interesting group of potentially important fulus (5 pieces), from an American collection.

Five interesting coins: (1) Byzantine, 12 nummi of Maurice Tiberius. (2) Arab-Byzantine? "K" (20 nummi or ½ follis) of the Justin & Sophia type, mint name obscure, ANNO to left of the K, very small size, much smaller than any of the regular issues of Justin & Sophia, but quite different from the ½ follis of Skythopolis (Baysan) and the Tiberius region. (3) Standing Emperor fals, mint name CON for Constantinople, but more likely a "pseudo-Damascus" issue of the late 7th century. (4) Arab-Byzantine, as type A-3502, Two Standing Figures, but with cursive m instead of capital M. (5) Post-reform Umayyad fals, oddly written mint, perhaps Iliya but uncertain.
