ARAB-BYZANTINE: Three Standing Figures, ca. 695-705, AE fals (3.10g), Tabariya, A-3512A, SICA-1:532, Fass-88, Bone-7, capital M on reverse, Arabic mint name tabariya right, crudely engraved Greek abbreviation THE to left, mysterious Arabic word qutri below, VF, RR. The word "qutri" means "metal", which seems odd on this coin. Another interpretation is "qatari", which might refer to the governor Qatari, who lead the Kharijite opposition in Fars and Kirman and is well-known for Arab-Sasanian drachms, but was not known to have had any authority in Palestine.
