ARAB-HUNNIC: "Gorigo Shah", 687, AR drachm (3.33g), ANBYL (for Anbir), AH68, A-90, some light adhesions, manly on the reverse, strong VF, RR. The obverse name legend is Bactrian "zolooo gozogano", which is regarded as the generic title of the ruler of Juzjan "the zolo of Juzjan" ("the Zhulad of Gozgan"), of which Anbir was the capital. Arabic bism Allah is in ObQ2 and Pahlavi APZWT GDH in ObQ3. Most examples have the tamgha Göbl #62 in ObQ1, as on this piece.The reverse has the Pahlavi mint & date flanking the fire altar attendants, and the usual Bactrian "gorigo šooeo" ("gorigo shah") and "ombiro" for Anbir, together with Pahlavi APZWT GDH, variously arranged in the four quadrants.
