ARAB-SASANIAN: al-Hakam b. Abi'l-'As, ca. 674-677, AR drachm (3.70g), PYL, AH56, A-11, Malek-944/45, with the obverse formula bism Allah Rabb al-hukm ("In the name of God, Lord of the judgement"); chipped, nearly XF, RR. The mint formula PYL is considered as abbreviation of "piruz", meaning "victorious" and probably refers to the capital city Kirman. It is the only mint formula used by the two governors of Kirman province, 'Abd al-Rashid b. Zayd and al-Hakam b. Abi'l-'As, that does not appear as a suffix or prefix to the name KLMAN on the later issues of the Kirman mints.
