ARMAVIR: AE 3 roubles, 1918, KM-2.1, Bitkin-7, Armavir branch of the State Bank token issue, double-headed eagle, three stars below // date flanked by sprigs, spot removed on otherwise lustrous surfaces, a choice example! PCGS graded Unc details. During the Civil War and military intervention of 1918-1922 fierce fighting occurred near the town, and the city changed hands three times before the 2nd Taman Regiment of the 7th Division under the command of the Caucasian Chursina entered the city in Armavir and finally established Soviet power on March 16, 1920. Struck under the authority of White Russians from salvaged roofing, plumbing and other sources of scrap in January of 1918.
