AUSTRIA: Franz Joseph I, 1848-1916, AE medal, Austro-Hungarian 1908 Jubilee Cross (Jubiläumskreuz), with original ribbon, XF. This medal was instituted on August 10, 1908, to mark the 60th anniversary of the Emperor's reign. The medal was awarded to various groups, including members of the armed forces, state officials, and court personnel. The obverse features a right-facing profile of Emperor Franz Joseph I in field-marshal uniform and the reverse carries the two dates 1848 and 1908. The specific ribbon color indicated the recipient's status with the Military type having a white ribbon with two wide red stripes on each side, the Civilian type with a solid red ribbon and the Court Service type with a yellow ribbon with black side stripes.
