BANU IFRAN: Ya'lâ b. Ahmad, d. 958, AR dirham (1.57g), NM, ND, A-457M, ruler cited as the slave ('abd) of the Fatimid Imam, who is cited as ma'add abi tamim amir al-mu'minin on the obverse after the name of Ya'lâ b. Ahmad, and as al-imam al-mu'izz li-din Allah on the reverse, with Qur'anid legends in the margins on both sides, unpublished, newly discovered and unique, VF, RRRR. This is first known coin of Ya'lâ b. Ahmad. As for his son Yaddu b. Ya'lâ, one example was published over 100 years ago by Lavoix and there is reportedly a second example now in existence!
