BAVARIA: Maximilian II, 1848-1864, BI 6 kreuzer, 1852, KM-802, C-228, a fantastic lustrous argent mint state example! PCGS graded MS66, ex Joe Sedillot Collection. In 1852, Bavaria was under King Maximilian II and firmly in a conservative phase following the failed 1848 revolutions. While cultural and educational reforms quietly advanced, liberal political movements were repressed, and the state remained loyal to Austria within the German Confederation.
