BHUTAN: Period III, ca. 1876-1900, AE che-tam (1/64 deb rupee) (1.34g), VF, RR, ex Jim Farr Collection.

In the period 1840-1900, after a significant reduction in the amount of silver in coins and illegal minting, unofficial coins came to be called "Zang-tam (copper coin)," "Ma-tam (red coin)," and "Che-tam (thin copper coin)." At that time 1 che-tam = ½ paisa = 1/128 Indian rupee.
