BRANDENBURG: Joachim I Nestor & Albrecht IV, 1499-1513, AR groschen, Angermunde, 1501, Bahrfeldt-105, variety with reverse legend MONETA NOVA ANNO DOMINI, fairly well-struck with minimal areas of weakness, subtle toning highlights legend lettering, a lovely mint state example! PCGS graded MS63. Upon the death of their father, Joachim I along with his younger brother Albrecht IV assumed joint rule until 1513 when the latter was appointed Archbishop of Magdeburg and Bishop of Halberstadt.
