Wyon, bust of Banks left with THOMAS - BANKS R A around // Naked Hindu sitting on pedestal right with head in hand, small elephant on base of pedestal, with "ART-UNION OF LONDON / 1858" in exergue, with some rim damage, beautiful chocolate-brown surfaces, label inscribed "Great Britain", in oversize PCGS holder, plain edge, PCGS graded MS62, R. The reverse of this medal is part of the artwork on the monument of Sir Eyre Coote in Westminster Abbey, sculpted by Thomas Banks and erected by the East India Company.
