BURMA: AR medal (5.66g), 1918, 24 x 27mm, hand-painted enamel in the shape of a shield, depicting a player in profile dribbling a ball to the left in a field, ornamental frame around with loop as made // BAPTIST COLLEGE / SENIOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE WINNERS / TUN TIN / 1918, below the hallmarks of silversmith William Aitken (Vyse Street, Birmingham) for the same year ("t"), VF-EF. Originally established as a boarding school in Mawlamyine in 1843 by American missionaries, the Baptist College became in 1920 a constituent college of the University of Rangoon and was one of the most prestigious universities in Southeast Asia.
