The Patriotic Liberation Army was a rebel organization active in Myanmar from 1962 to 1974. In 1970, the PLA minted pure 24-karat gold 1, 2, and 4 mu coins. Subsequently, the Myanmar government declared ownership of these coins illegal, and anyone in possession of one would be punished with death.
