BURMA: TENASSERIM-PEGU: Anonymous, 17th/18th century, cast large tin coin (72.95g), VC-486, Robinson-75, Plate 13:4, 58.5mm: prancing mythical beast tò right // seated man (incorrectly cited by Robinson as "running"), perhaps Garuda, with his left shoulder winged, his right arm raised, holding a small uncertain item, with a detailed decorative margin on both sides; simplified designs as on the piece sold in our Auction 43, Lot 997, XF, RRR. The heavy weight of this relatively thin piece indicates that it is largely lead, with little or no tin.
