BURMESE KINGDOMS: Tenasserim-Pegu: Anonymous, 17th/18th century, octagonal cast large tin coin (27.17g), Robinson-Plate 13:6, VC-620, Millies-230, 60mm; knotted dragon (naga) right, no dots or other symbols below the dragon // 3-line Burmese legend with Chinese-style square in the center of legend type B6; bold strike and just one minuscule casting defect, EF, RRR. This type was originally illustrated by Tavernier in his publication in 1678 and may be the earliest of all large tin coins of Tenasserim.
