BUWAYHID: Qiwam al-Dawla, 1012-1028, AR "dirham" (2.42g), al-Sirjan, AH407, A-1583var, Treadwell-—, thin uniface bracteate style presentation piece intended for decoration, mount removed as usual, citing the ruler only as abu'l-fawaris bin qiwam al-din, where Abu'l-Fawaris refers to his father, sun of an earlier governor named Qiwam al-Dawla, VF-EF, RRR. Treadwell knew of no coins of al-Sirjan dated after AH386, but a regular dirham dated 407 was sold in the Wilkes & Curtis Auction 7, Lot 280, in the name of Sultan al-Dawla (A-1581).
