BUWAYHID: Samâ' al-Dawla, ca. 1021-1028, AR dirham (5.68g), possibly Burujird, AH4xx, A-1579S, with his title amir al-umarâ', which means "chief amir", citing the overlords Buwayhid Majd al-Dawla and Kakwayhid Muhammad b. Dushmanzar, with the word tawfiq below and undeciphered word above the obverse field, unpublished and likely unique, light scrape on obverse bottom, VF, RRR. This is the first reported example of Samâ' al-Dawla (known only as one of several overlords on dirhams of Farhad b. Mardawij of Burujird, type A-1537F.
