CAMBODIA: AR ¼ tical (4.71g), ND (1880), standing Garuda left, flourishes either side / Khmer inscriptions within crudely engraved wreath, crude machine struck issue, plain edge, natural flan crack as made, Very Fine, RRRR, ex. J. Silvestre Collection. J. Silvestre was a French colonial administrator in Indochina and the author of the The Coins and Medals of Annam published in the American Journal of Numismatics, Vol. 37, #3 in 1903. This type is likely a pattern issue and not published by Charles Panish in his ANS Museum Notes 20 (1975) article.
