CAMBODIA: Norodom I, 1860-1904, 25 centimes token, ND, KM-Tn4, Lec-104, brass token struck for the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh, Latinized Khmer text, somdach prea norodom prea chau grung campuchea around central Khmer letter, denomination on reverse, a lovely mint state example! PCGS graded MS63, ex Howard Daniel III Collection. A scarce series of 10, 15, 20, and 25 centimes tokens are noted by H. Rolland in 1932 as "a l'usage du palais (1906)." These tokens were likely struck circa 1875-1904 for circulation inside the Royal Palace.
