CAMBODIA: Royal Order of Sowathara, Knight / Chevalier / (Assarutti) class; the design has at center a green enamel disk with the three-towered hall of Angkor Wat in gold, a gold rim, and surrounded with four sets of five equal rays, slightly forked at the ends; between them, respectively, shocks of corn, cotton, rice, and palm leaves; suspended by a representation of the Goddess of the Earth, twisting her hair; with apple green ribbon and original box of issue, awarded to Mr. Martin Clement, 6 Av. Beauséjour 92, France, EF, ex Salvatore J. Falcone Collection. The Order was instituted on June 22, 1923. The Order is awarded for distinguished services in the fields of agriculture, and later the economy and public works. Originally founded in three classes in 1923, the Order was raised to five classes on August 23, 1956; Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
