CANADA: Elizabeth II, 1952-2022, AR 20 dollars, 2017, KM-2432, Dogbane Beetle, with Venetian glass beetle affixed on the reverse, contains 1 troy ounce of pure silver, with COA and original Royal Canadian Mint case of issue, Proof. From the Royal Canadian Mint, "This coin’s reverse design is punctuated by a shimmering Venetian glass beetle that was handcrafted by master glassmaker Giuliano Donaggio in Murano, Italy. The glass beetle is poised on a coloured design by Canadian artist Maurice Gervais that features the leaves and pink, bell-shaped flowers of the dogbane plant, one of the beetle’s preferred food sources. Murano glass coins from the Royal Canadian Mint are highly sought after today for their beauty and collectability, and all issues to date have quickly sold out. Because the Murano glass dogbane beetle has been fashioned by hand, each coin is unique!"
