CANADA: brass token, ND (ca. 1887), Breton-589, imperial German eagle with L's in the usual mintmark position (probably for Lauer) / GUT FÜR * 5 * CENTS within beaded circle with * GESANGVEREIN TEUTONIA * MONTREAL around, mintage of 1000 pieces, 24mm, NGC graded Proof 63, ex Paul Montz Collection. Breton writes that this token was struck in Germany to be used at a German club. We would call this piece prooflike, not proof.
