CEYLON: George III, 1760-1820, AE 1/96 rixdollar, 1802, KM-74, Pr-86, elephant left, struck at the Soho Mint, Birmingham, by Matthew Boulton, a superb proof quality example! PCGS graded PF65 BN. In 1802 Ceylon was made a British Crown Colony, and, by the Treaty of Amiens with France, British possession of maritime Ceylon was confirmed.
