CEYLON: George III, 1796-1820, AR 24 stivers, 1804, KM-76, Elephant left, PCGS graded AU55, ex James Farr Collection, ex Superior Mail Bid Auction June 1990. In 1802 Ceylon was made a British Crown Colony, and, by the Treaty of Amiens with France, British possession of maritime Ceylon was confirmed. Tied for finest graded at PCGS.
