CEYLON: George III, 1796-1820, gilt AE 1/96 rixdollar, 1802, KM-74, Elephant left, struck at the Soho Mint, Birmingham, by Matthew Boulton, PCGS graded PF64 CAM, ex Jerry D. Williams Collection. In 1802 Ceylon was made a British Crown Colony, and, by the Treaty of Amiens with France, British possession of maritime Ceylon was confirmed. Tied for 2nd finest graded at PCGS.
