CH'ING: Dao Guang, 1821-1850, AE palace cash (22.71g), Board of Revenue mint, Peking, H-26.4, lantern-hanging money, tian xia tai ping (heaven below great peace), yang qián (sample coin), 37.7mm, VF, RRRR, ex Authur W. Hummel, Jr. and Sr. Collection.

This coin is now determined to be a sample coin (yang qián) as the manufacturing technique is vastly different than normal palace cash of Dao Guang. The style of calligraphy matches palace coins not charm coins. Also, there were other mu qián and yang qián coins in the ex Authur W. Hummel, Jr. and Sr. Collection which was formed in the 1920's
