CHAGHATAYID KHANS: temp. Qaidu, 1270-1302, AR fractional dirham (0.94g), "Almaligh", ND, A-C1986, cf. Zeno-244330 for further information, actually struck at Tarsakent (now Bishkek); with tamghas of Qaidu above almaligh on the obverse, Tibetan character MAM in the reverse center, average strike, VF-EF, RRR. Examples of this time are reported with dated AH679 and 685. The Tibetan character is clearer on this example than on any of the 5 pieces illustrated on Zeno.
