CHEN: Shao Shi, 569-582, AE cash (4.1g), H-13.18, tai huo liu zhu ("large coin six zhu"), graded 80(07) by GBCA Grading Company, natural casting defects, VF. Issued by Emperor Xuan (Shaoshi) of Chen in 579 AD, this coin is considered the crown jewel of Southern Dynasty coins thanks to its beautiful calligraphy. It was originally worth ten regular wu zhu coins but later revalued to one wu zhu due to popular discontent.
