CHIKODI, NIPANI, & WADI: LOT of 16 silver coins that have variously been attributed to these three locations, including 2 rupees and 2 half rupees (KM-185 & 130) with the lingam symbol, assigned by KM to Chikodi; 2 rupees and 1 half rupee with the map symbol on the reverse, assigned by Wiggins to Wadi, by others to Nipani; and 1 quarter rupee, 1 half rupee and 6 rupees with other symbols, including 3 of type KM-187, assigned to either Wadi or Dicholi (perhaps a misreading of Chikodi), and one uncertain copper 1/4 paisa; all VF or better, a very interesting research lot, retail value $675, lot of 16 pieces, ex Paul Stevens Collection.
