CHINA: 3 cent token, ND (1924), Bus Token, C.G.O. CO. LTD. SHANGHAI / GOOD FOR THREE CENTS, round with central cut-out Chinese numeral 3, Unc. The China General Omnibus Company Limited Shanghai was registered in Hong Kong, but all of its business was done in Shanghai. J. A. Fredericks was a British national that founded the "C.G.O. Co. Ltd". The company's first line opened to the public in October 1924. The first line was from the Bund to Jing'an Temple. The company introduced the second line in 1934 from Jing'an Temple to Hongkou Park. The first series of tokens included: 1 cent, 2 cents and 3 cents, the first two made of brass and the 3 cents made of copper-nickel.
