CHINA: Hsuan Tung, 1909-1911, AR medal, CD1910, L&M-995, K-plate 193; Li-page 70, Imperial Inspection Minister Silver Medal; dragon at center, emperor's name above with cyclical date either side, dong yuè zào (made in the winter months) // eight-pointed star design with two Chinese seal script characters within flanked by two thin dragons, eight characters around, qin mìng jiào yuè lù jun dà chén (Imperial Order Review by the Minister of War), mount removed as usual for type, PCGS graded AU details. According to Li, this medal was struck during the inspection of the New Army as they performed drills in winter, with the best units or individuals earning it as an honor.
