IMPORTANT NOTE - The Buyer's Premium is now $20 per lot or 20% of the hammer price, whichever amount is greater. However, we have also reduced opening bids on lower value items to adjust for the new Buyer's Premium structure, so all-in costs are still very close to what they were in the past. This change in fee structure will allow us to continue to offer coins valued at less than $100 in addition to our higher value offerings. Contact us with any questions.
CHINA: LOT of 45 early items, including 4 substitute cowries (one in jade), 4 wawa/cicada money, 5 ant nose / ghost face money (three different characters), 2 small spades (perhaps proto-money), a Qin bronze-tipped iron crossbow arrow, 10 small spade money (moderate to heavy corrosion, one broken), a Han Wudi bai jin san ping dragon (likely attribution due to weight and flan shape, heavily corroded with one piercing), 2 fused stacks of Wang Mang spades (as found in hoard), an Eastern Han money tree segment (ca. 14.5 x 8cm), a rectangular bronze plaque, and 14 bronze seal stamps (all with characters in seal script except one with frog, all legible); a very interesting mix! retail value $750, lot of 45 pieces, ex Dr. Dirk Löer Collection.
