IMPORTANT NOTE - The Buyer's Premium is now $20 per lot or 20% of the hammer price, whichever amount is greater. However, we have also reduced opening bids on lower value items to adjust for the new Buyer's Premium structure, so all-in costs are still very close to what they were in the past. This change in fee structure will allow us to continue to offer coins valued at less than $100 in addition to our higher value offerings. Contact us with any questions.
CHINA: Republic, AR 20 cents, year 15 (1926), Y-335, L&M-82, Twelve Symbols national emblem, PCGS graded AU53. The Twelve Symbols national emblem was the state emblem of the Republic of China (1913-1928). It was based on ancient Chinese symbols, known as the Twelve Ornament. The symbols were considered most auspicious and therefore as a set were previously reserved only for the emperor to be shown on his ceremonial robes. The national emblem arranges these symbols in such a way to reflect the order of achievement in western heraldry.
