CHINA: tin burial token (10.41g), made with tin-lead alloy, copying a Spanish "Pillar Dollar" 8 reales, with crudely imitative design elements and nonsensical legends, used as mortuary currency (or "hell money") in Jiangsu according to the consignor, XF. This is one of the first pieces of Western-style Chinese mortuary currency that we have ever encountered.
