WIENER / NACH DEM VOM DOMBAUMEISTERE.F.ZWIRNER / ERGÄNZTEN BAUPLANE / VERLAG VON F.C.EISEN IN KÖLN in exergue // view of the planned cathedral being completed with JUBELFEIER - AM 14 AUGUST 1848 DER ERSTEN GRUNDSTEINLEGUNG DES DOMES ZU KÖLN AM 14 AUGUST 1248 / UNSERE FREUDE around and 6 lines of text in exergue, some mint red, plain edge, PCGS graded Specimen 63. The medal on the 600th anniversary of the foundation stone was subsequently created in 1849. Later issues were made in 1851, 1855, 1856, 1866 and 1867, showing the progress in construction. By comparing this piece with the example from 1849, you can clearly see the construction progress.
