COLOGNE: gilt AE medal, 1880, Weiler-2688, Cologne Cathedral, designed by S. Drentwett, view of the completed cathedral exterior from the southeast // Magi and retinue worshipping the infant Jesus who sits in Mary's lap, PCGS graded Specimen 63. The cathedral at Cologne took over 632 years to complete and this medal pairs that long awaited occasion with the status of the cathedral as the repository for the relics of the Magi.
