CUBA: Spanish Colony, 5 centavos token, ND, Rulau-MAT15, INGENIO LA BENITA / MARAGLIANO, large numeral "5" at center // helmeted shield of arms with palm tree atop, flanked by scrollwork, small spot, with traces of brilliant golden luster, NGC graded MS63. The Ingenio La Benita was founded around 1870 by Benito Maragliano, in the West neighborhood of Alacranes, Matanzas. Maragliano was the owner between 1870 and 1880. The tokens were designed by G. Loos and minted at the Preußische Staatsmünze, Berlin.
