DELHI: Nasir al-Din Mahmud, 1246-1266, AR tanka (10.57g), MM, DM, G-D141, considered a mint error, with the ruler's name Mas'ud instead of Mahmud, different dies from the specimen illustrated by Goron (and without the cross-like symbol above the "S" of nasir), EF, RR. The general design arrangement is typical of Delhi, but the calligraphy is quite crude, though correctly spelled. The distinct calligraphy and the existence of two die sets suggests that this might not be an error, but an issue produced at an alternative mint imitating the style of Delhi.
